The Cause Initiatives Intern will have the opportunity to assist with a variety of projects for Go Red Por Tu Corazn, one of the American Heart Association's cause campaigns. Go Red Por Tu Corazn is the AHA's bilingual movement to raise awareness among Hispanic women of their No. 1 killer 'heart disease and helps them and their families prevent risk factors for heart disease by practicing healthy lifestyles.
Responsibilities would include: ' Assisting with content generation in English and Spanish. ' Translating copy for consumer communications. ' Assisting with online research; social media in particular. ' Assisting with public relations and digital marketing efforts. ' Coordinating logistics for meetings and events. ' Providing creative input, including collateral materials and website design.
Requirements ' Must be bilingual: excellent oral and written communication skills in English and Spanish. ' Highly proficient in MS Office applications (Word, Excel and PowerPoint). ' Proficient in social media (Facebook, Twitter and YouTube). ' Previous work experience in communications and/or marketing a plus. ' Must have the ability to work at least 20 hours per week.
