Description

  • The Texas-Oklahoma state lead is responsible for managing the relationship with regulators, advocating for the company's positions and assisting in the company's growth through resolution of regulatory matters.
  • In addition, the state lead responds to requests for information and assists the product filing, market conduct and other areas of the company as the subject matter expert on Texas and Oklahoma insurance law.
  • Also assists the health plan leadership in resolving regulatory issues as they impact the business.
Qualifications
  • Bachelor's degree.
  • Juris Doctorate degree preferred.
  • At least 5 years experience in insurance regulatory law.
  • Strong understanding of health insurance and/or managed care industry.
  • Experience with regulatory agencies and administrative experience with state insurance regulations.
  • Well developed written and oral communication skills.
  • Ability to build and maintain rapport with superiors, peers and internal and external company contacts.
  • Professional staff management experience.
  • Demonstrated project management skills, including the ability to simultaneously manage several detailed projects involving short timelines and multiple contributors.
